With over 700 universities in the country, the educational system is among the top priorities for the Mexican government. It has invested in infrastructure development and in training resources to compete in the global market. There are 121 universities that offer IT-related programs. There has been an eightfold increase in enrollment for courses related to IT in the past 15 years. As a result, Mexico has the largest number of IT graduates in Latin America. Approximately 400,000 students are enrolled in IT-related programs in Mexican universities. The net result is that more than 65,000 graduates are from technical schools and IT university programs annually. |
